Cabbage's Corner
League highlights compiled weekly by the illustrious Freight Cabbage
Once again we visit the titans of MNCS Season 5!
This week began with 5 undefeated teams but they now number only 3: Atlas Premier, Flyers Challenger and Rhythm Rising Star.
Prussia is the captain of that Flyers team and is looking to repeat his dominant Season 4 run to a Challenger Title.
Rising Star is the league for scorers as so far we've seen the top 3 teams in goals per game all be in Rising Star (Flyers, Maulers, Rhythm) and 9 of the top 10 shooting percentages also find themselves in the Rising Star division.
Talk about high scoring: Vanish lead the Rhythm Premier to a clean 3-0 win over the Victory. In that triumph he averaged 742.33 points per game, 2.67 goals per game, 53.3% shooting and 2.33 saves per game all stats that were top 3 league wide.
This week also saw SlayPanther return to Rising Star and reunite with his Season 4 teammates Blake and Wastee. In his return the Flyers took a 3-1 win over the Atlas with SlayPanther leading the way with 442.25 points per game, 1.00 assists per game, and 1.75 saves per game, all top 5 in Rising Star.
BubblyReaper looks to continue his hot streak into Week 6 as so far in his 2 weeks of Premier action he is a perfect 6-0 in games while averaging 537.00 points per game, 1.67 goals, and 45.5% shooting, and 2.00 saves per game. GM Stero may have found the missing piece for his Premier Squad.
Lastly let's highlight some fun superlatives through Week 4 of league play:
Car Magnet: AlecTheGr8 demoed 1.93 times per game
Out of Boost: Grape has spent 21.6% of his games at 0 boost
Boost Thief: Terr has stolen 28.8% of all boost he's collected
Speed Demon: Blakester has spent 20.4% of his games going supersonic
Thanks for checking out Cabbage's Corner, see you next week!

If there was only one thing that you wanted the league to know about you, what would that be? That I am currently trying to teach myself how to play the guitar.
Tell us a bit about your history in MNCS: My history is short and sweet when it comes to MNCS. I was drafted second overall in Challenger league my first season (season 4), and ended up moving up to Premier to win the championship with my goated teammates Zbruh and North.
Past teams: Bemidji Lumberjacks, Brainerd Victory, St. Cloud Flyers (current)
How do you feel going into week 5? I am very excited for this coming week. I was just traded from Brainerd to St Cloud, which is where I wanted to be my entire MNCS career. I can't wait to start grinding with my new team and make the ladder run to the top.
Do you have any “rivals” in the league? I would say my biggest Rival in the league is Notice. In my short time in MNCS we have become really good friends and its always exciting to play each other. I just always want to beat him and the feeling is definitely mutual.
What do you think separates your team from the rest of the league? What about your franchise? "I would say my team is probably more so focused on how to integrate every player while on the field. There is a lot of raw mechanical talent throughout the whole player roster and we are more focused on near perfect passing and rotations. My franchise feels like a home. Not just a home base for the players when they have matches but a place we can always find each other hanging out and playing other games as well."
