League highlights compiled weekly by the illustrious Freight Cabbage

Week 5 saw one of our last undefeated teams suffer their first loss of Season 5! The Rhythm Rising Star squad lost a back and forth 5 game thriller to the Maulers, leaving only the Flyers Challenger and Atlas Premier as undefeated half-way through the season.

We've seen Ambrosia lead his Premier team in their inaugural season and their stats so far are impressive. They current have MNCS' top goals against per game (1.67), top goal difference per game (+1.05), best game win percentage (71.4%), 2nd most demos per game (4.14) and a top 5 offense currently averaging per game 2.71 goals, 9.05 shots, 1.86 assists and 30% shooting.

Recently appointed Victory Premier captain Papo had himself a stand out week alongside his recent additions of PCMcD and Lord. He averaged 500.50 points, 1 goal, 44.4% shooting, 0.50 assists, and 2.75 saves per game leading his team to a 3-1 over the Barons.

Don't Call it a Comeback: Two rosters started the season 0-2 but have since rocketed back towards the top of the table with 3 straight weeks of wins. The Rangers Premier squad lead by Tero has knocked off the Senators, Maulers and Victory in the last three weeks. The other roster to complete this feat is the Victory Challenger squad which has been no stranger to moving parts, captain Tarr_RL has kept a level head through those weeks sitting above the league average in goals, shots, shooting percentage, and points helping them knock down the Barons, Rhythm and Rangers.

Half way gone and the top performer in Challenger looks to be Thermal as he sits at a 110.94 rating, while averaging 397 points, 0.94 goals, 3.71 shots, and 1.29 saves per game.

Lastly, the season of the roster change continues as we've seen 15 different roster moves this week! The move to watch will be Lord and PCMcD both joining the Victory Premier as they look to post a historic inaugural season!

If there was only one thing that you wanted the league to know about you, what would that be? I may have been one of the last people to make premier this season, but I'm going to be working hard to take my place at the top.

Tell us a bit about your history in MNCS: I've had a LONG history being on the Duluth franchise. A total of 4 of the 6 teams I've played with being on Duluth.

Past teams: Minnetonka Royals (Derreck and TourneyEarie), Duluth Spirit (Stego and Blake), Minneapolis Prodigies (MateIsNate and Grape), Duluth Spirit (Lege and Kharon), Duluth Superiors (Pace and PaulyB), and Duluth Superiors (Midas and Pope).

Do you have any “rivals” in the league? 100% Duluth Superiors. It's pretty funny how after I was traded off the Superiors and onto the Senators meant that my first match with my new team was going to be against my old teammates.

What do you think separates your team from the rest of the league? The St. Paul Senators is currently the youngest team in premier with all of us being under 20 years old.

Thank you for reading MNCS Overtime! Big thanks to our awesome OT staff Caesar, Freight Cabbage, IntoAudacity, Isodor, & Wastee! We’ll see you next week with more MNCS updates!
