Cabbage's Corner
League highlights compiled weekly by the illustrious Freight Cabbage
Welcome back to Week 6, plenty of action this week as we count down the weeks towards Season 5 playoffs!
Seeing Triple: Across all three leagues we had 4 franchises go 3-0 in league play this week. The Minneapolis Miracles, Rochester Rhythm, Bloomington Maulers and Burnsville Inferno all went undefeated this weekend with the Rhythm posting the best game record going 9-2 including a sweep at the Rising Star level.
We saw our last undefeated team in Premier suffer their first defeat of the season. The Mankato Atlas fought hard but couldn’t overcome the dominant defense put up by the Minneapolis Miracles as they had 5.50 saves per game across their 3-1 series. The final undefeated team is Prussia’s St. Cloud Flyers Challenger team and they’ll look to continue their streak next Friday (4/1) at 8:15 PM.
The MVP of Week 6 was North of the Lumberjacks Premier. Across his 5 game series he posted 561.40 points, 1.20 goals, 2.80 saves, and 0.60 saves per game along with 46.2% shooting. So far this season he sits top 10 in Premier for score per game and saves per game.
Feel the Beat: Once again Dicey’s teams continue to find success at all levels of MNCS competition. His franchise is 15-3 in series, 50-23 in games and continue to show how important defense is in MNCS. The three rosters sit first, second and fourth in goals against per game which has allowed the franchise to average +.68 goals per game played.
Clear the Field: Taking a look at demolitions this season, a few players stick out above the rest. Branski in his first week of MNCS play removed 2.75 opponents per game, followed up by Sonny with 2.61 and Caeser with 2.41. If you see these players in your lobby, you better run!
Thievery: Lastly for this week lets look at which players have stolen the most boost from their opponents this season. The Miracles rookie BubblyReaper leads all players with 726.7 boost stolen per game (over 7 full tanks!), followed by fellow rookies Tyant at 718.6 and Fuego at 682.9.
Thanks again for reading and make sure to let me know if you think a stat needs highlighting!

If there was only one thing that you wanted the league to know about you, what would that be? I'm always down to play 3s with people, no matter the rank
Tell us a bit about your history in MNCS: Season 1 I was a sub for the Stillwater sturgeons, Season 2 I was on the Duluth Twins, Season 3 I was a captain for the Bemidji Cruisers and went to the finals, Season 4 I started as captain on the Bemidji Timbers then got moved up to the Beavers due to unforeseen circumstances, and finally in Season 5 I started as a FA and got picked up to the Miracles RS team then got traded to the St. Paul Senators Challenger team which is where I am now.
How do you feel going into week 5? Pretty confident, I have not had a ton of time with my new team yet but we are already starting to get some chemistry going and we are having lots of fun together as well.
Do you have any “rivals” in the league? Not really, I try and stay out of confrontation or rivalries.
What do you think separates your team from the rest of the league? What about your franchise? We have a lot of support and trust for each other so far and I think that it is really important to keep our moral up, our franchise just has a lot of interaction with each of our divisions and each team is supporting the others and it is nice that even after 1 week I have been able to see that.
